POW! WOW! Daily episode 5, ft. Ola Kalnins, Engin Dogan, Roids & Andre HZS

Everyday this week, Rauwkost Collective offers you a behind-the-scenes look at POW WOW! Rotterdam. In our daily journal ‘POW! WOW! Daily’ we capture the atmosphere in Feijenoord, while the artists are busy with their murals.

In the latest episode of POW! WOW! Daily we take a look at Skateland. Four artists are at work on the property, creating an international mishmash of styles, lines and techniques. Ola Kalnins from Sweden, Andre HZS from the Netherlands, Roids from the United Kingdom and Engin Dogan from Germany stand side by side on the sky lifts. In between joking around, they also work on beautiful art. They’re trying to figure they try to make their works fit together. And while they were trying to do that, we put them through their paces.

In the evening, Eddie Contento of Rauwkost Collective also visited De Jongens Van Hiernaast, who gave a masterclass in making lemonade and read from their own work in the Hefpark. Spoken word at POW! WOW! Rotterdam? Yes, sure. But while squeezing lemons into fuel, that is.

POW! WOW! Daily episode 4, ft. MOTS & Nul Teen Art

Everyday during this week, Rauwkost Collective offers you a behind-the-scenes look at POW WOW! Rotterdam. In our daily journal ‘POW! WOW! Daily’, we capture the atmosphere in Feijenoord, while the artists are busy with their murals.

In today’s episode we take a look at the best hidden mural of 2021; the one of the pupils of Nul Teen Art. Essie and Kiara were chosen through a contest, to beautify the Oranjeboomsteeg with a piece of art and have been busy doing so all week. Eddie Contento of Rauwkost Collective visits them to ask them about their unique experience.

But not before he had a look at the wall of the Polish-Portuguese duo MOTS. Right next to the iconic bridge De Hef, they are currently working on an art piece. Therefore, they were inspired by the story of bridge keeper Arie de Weerd, who has looked after De Hef for the past thirty years. His portrait will be resurrected on the wall, right next to his former workplace. De Weerd has passed away since, but MOTS was very keen to make a connection between the mural and its location, and has managed to tie those ends together in a wonderful way.

POW! WOW! Daily episode 3, ft. Helen Proctor & Pappas Pärlor

Every day, Rauwkost Collective offers you a behind-the-scenes look at POW! WOW! Rotterdam. In our daily journal ‘POW! WOW! Daily’ we capture the atmosphere in Feijenoord, while the artists are busy with their murals.

This time we step into Helen Proctor’s sky lift to ask her where her typical style comes from. She always paints landscapes in urban areas, for good reason. Now that the Australian herself lives in Amsterdam, she misses nature. For the people who grow up between concrete buildings, she paints natural elements. So that everyone can enjoy it.

We also take a look at the temporary outdoor studio of Swedish artist Pappas Pärlor, who has been beautifying Feijenoord all week with his unique works of art. We follow him as he mounts a pixel portrait Internet phenomenon Khaby Lame on an elevator and makes people in the neighborhood happy. The perfect example of how a hobby can get out of hand in a wonderful way.

Check out the third episode of POW! WOW! Daily and be sure to stop by and experience all the beauty for yourself!
